Soccer Recap: Eagle River Takes a Loss

If Eagle River was riding high fresh off their 5-2 takedown of Bartlett on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wolves came up short against the Service Cougars on Tuesday, falling 8-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Eagle River of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Eagle River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Service, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eagle River is set to face off against their familiar foe West Anchorage at 5:30 p.m. on the 30th. Meanwhile, Service will square off against rival Bettye Davis East Anchorage at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
