Clearwater got themselves on the board against Countryside on Friday, but Countryside never followed suit. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 40-0 win over the Cougars. The Tornadoes haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Clearwater's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen White, who threw for 141 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten passes, and also rushed for 75 yards on only nine carries. Another rusher making a difference was Sincere McClinton, who rushed for 133 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Clearwater was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 279 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 170 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Clearwater didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bri'An Key and Kentrail McRae. McRae got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Clearwater's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Countryside, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Clearwater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Countryside, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-8 defeat against East Lake on the 30th.
