Alex Bryant was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

Vidor's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

While Vidor had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
