Preview: Manson vs. Oroville
On Friday Oroville take on Manson at 7:00 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
Oroville took care of business in their home opener. They put the hurt on Liberty Bell with a sharp 64-33 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-7.
Meanwhile, Manson had to kick off their season on the road last week, but they showed no ill effects. They were fully in charge, breezing past Soap Lake 40-0. Manson was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. In their win, Oroville relied heavily on junior Colby Guzman, who rushed for 184 yards and 2 touchdowns; a key strategy for Manson will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
