Baseball Game Preview: Cheshire Rams vs. Lyman Hall Trojans

The Cheshire Rams will head out to face off against the Lyman Hall Trojans at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Cheshire will be strutting in after a win while Lyman Hall will be coming in after a loss.

Cheshire lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Foran, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's contest. The Rams were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Lions on Wednesday. The Rams not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 8, 2024.

Joshua Bonomo looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Jackson Enders was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Lyman Hall's offense. They fell just short of Notre Dame by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

The victory got Cheshire back to even at 1-1. As for Lyman Hall, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
