Recap: Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks vs. Redwood Giants
Even though The Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks have not done well against the Redwood Giants recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Tamalpais strolled past Redwood with points to spare, taking the game 35-17. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tamalpais.
Tamalpais' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braden Young, who threw for 301 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Jake Son, who rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown.
Tamalpais' victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Redwood, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 7-3.
Tamalpais will head out on the road to face off against Casa Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Casa Grande will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for Redwood, they will be playing at home against Heritage at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Heritage is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
