Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jacksonville). They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cardinals considering their two-run performance the match before.

Kaiden Cox was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Jacksonville is undefeated when Cox posts two or more runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Ryan Yates was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Jacksonville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Jacksonville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Northside - Jacksonville, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jacksonville will be taking part in a tournament against Richlands at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Northside - Jacksonville, they will take on Swansboro in a tournament on Monday.
