Basketball Recap: Turkey Valley Piles Up the Points Against West Central

Turkey Valley won the last time they faced West Central and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Turkey Valley Trojans breezed by the West Central Blue Devils to the tune of 52-19. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 316th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory (which was Turkey Valley's fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for West Central, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Turkey Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 37-25 loss against Riceville on the 9th. As for West Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-26 defeat against Oelwein on the 9th.
