Softball Recap: Southridge Suns vs. Hermiston Bulldogs
After flying high against Hermiston on Friday, Southridge came back down to earth. The Suns came up short against the Bulldogs on Friday, falling 20-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Suns have suffered against the Bulldogs since March 29, 2022.
Jadyn Holdren was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Faith Hickman was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
Southridge's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Hermiston, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Coincidentally, Southridge and Hermiston will both be playing Kennewick the next time they take the field. The Suns will head out to face the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
