Football Recap: Marty Charron and Miguel Dejesus Pace Easthampton/Hampshire Defense

Easthampton/Hampshire lost against Hoosac Valley back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles lost 35-12 to the Hurricanes. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Easthampton/Hampshire saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Patrick Larson rushed for 56 yards and one TD, and also picked up 33 receiving yards and one score. Larson also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making four total tackles.

Easthampton/Hampshire didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Marty Charron and Miguel DeJesus.

Easthampton/Hampshire suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-3. As for Hoosac Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Easthampton/Hampshire is set to face off against their familiar foe South Hadley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Larson and Noah Hambley. Meanwhile, Hoosac Valley will square off against rival Holyoke at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
