Softball Game Preview: Redmond Panthers vs. Summit Storm

Redmond is 8-2 against Summit since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Storm at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Redmond is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Bend, falling 16-1.

Meanwhile, Summit fell victim to Mountain View and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 16-0 to the Cougars. The Storm have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Redmond, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Redmond took their victory against Summit when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-2 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Storm have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
