Liberty Christian came tearing into Monday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Muncie Central Bearcats 17-7. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Addie Novakoski was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Narwhold, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Liberty Christian now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Muncie Central, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Looking ahead, Liberty Christian will venture away from home to face off against Christel House at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Muncie Central, they will host Monroe Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
