The Southington Blue Knights will challenge the RHAM Raptors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Southington is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Masuk hit Southington with a four-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Knights fell 9-5 to the Panthers. The loss was the Blue Knights' first of the season.

Southington got a good showing from Connor Watson, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Watson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Mason Lefort was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Marco Spataro, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, RHAM put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Portland as they made off with a 9-1 victory. Fans of the Raptors have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

RHAM's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Southington, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Everything went Southington's way against RHAM when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Southington made off with a 6-0 win. Will the Blue Knights repeat their success, or do the Raptors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
