Softball Recap: Anthem Prep Has No Trouble Against Desert Heights Prep

Anthem Prep won the last time they faced Desert Heights Prep and things went their way on Monday too. Everything went the Anthem Prep Eagles' way against the Desert Heights Prep Yote as the Anthem Prep Eagles made off with a 20-1 victory. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly 19 runs.

The team relied heavily on Grace Stillwell, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Addison Evjen was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Anthem Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Desert Heights Prep only posted an OBP of .250.

The win made it two in a row for Anthem Prep and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Anthem Prep will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Salome at 3:00 p.m. on March 17th. As for Desert Heights Prep, they will venture away from home to face off against Maryvale Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Maryvale Prep's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
