Marksville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hornbeck Hornets. One positive for the Tigers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Marksville's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Hornbeck, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Marksville and Hornbeck will both be playing Rapides the next time they take the field. Marksville will host Rapides at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, while Hornbeck will play them later in the day, at 1:15 p.m.
