Baseball Recap: Johannesburg-Lewiston Find Success

The Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals earned a 4-1 victory over the Grayling Vikings on Tuesday.

Rylan Rosso spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Landen Hilt was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Benny Lindbert, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double.

Johannesburg-Lewiston's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Grayling, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

As of now, neither Johannesburg-Lewiston nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
