Batesville fell victim to Carmel and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 8-0 to the Greyhounds. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Batesville's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Carmel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Batesville will take on South Dearborn at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carmel, they will challenge Cathedral at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Fighting Irish's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Greyhounds' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
