Sierra Vista is a perfect 10-0 against Southeast Career Tech since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Sierra Vista Mountain Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners at 3:30 p.m. Sierra Vista's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Tuesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Sierra Vista turned things around against Las Vegas on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Wildcats. The game was the first time the Mountain Lions have beaten the Wildcats on their field since May 1, 2015.

The result came thanks to Nathan Mayorga's shutout, as he gave up just three hits.

At the plate, Sierra Vista's victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Michael Credico, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. The dominant performance gave Credico a new career-high in hits. Issac Simmon also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Southeast Career Tech faced Liberty in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Southeast Career Tech fell 5-2 to Liberty.

Southeast Career Tech has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. Sierra Vista's win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Sierra Vista skirted past Southeast Career Tech 7-6 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will Sierra Vista repeat their success, or does Southeast Career Tech have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
