Football Recap: Agoura Starts Season with Win Against Oak Park

Agoura gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 45-28 victory over the Oak Park Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chargers also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Gavin Gray was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 293 yards and five touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in August of 2024.

Agoura didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tyler Starling and Luke Bussiere. Starling got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Oak Park still got an impressive performance from Nevada Ford, who rushed for 103 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Agoura didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 31-14 loss against Westlake on the 29th. As for Oak Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 51-19 defeat against Saugus on the 29th.
