Softball Recap: Polo Takes a Loss

After flying high against South Beloit on Tuesday, Polo came back down to earth. The Marcos lost 9-1 to the Milledgeville Missiles on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Marcos in their meetings with the Missiles: they've now lost six in a row.

Polo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izabella (Bella) Witkowski, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Polo's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Milledgeville, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Polo will be playing at home against Oregon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Milledgeville, they will head out to square off against Lena-Winslow at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
