Basketball Recap: Lyons Comes Up Short

Lyons lost against Riverside-Brookfield back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lyons Lions fell just short of the Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs by a score of 69-66. The Lions' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Lyons' defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Riverside-Brookfield, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyons has already played their next game (against Oak Park-River Forest), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Riverside-Brookfield will take on De La Salle at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Riverside-Brookfield knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully De La Salle likes a good challenge.
