It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Curtis ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Scholars Academy 6-4. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Curtis' record is now 6-1. As for Scholars Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coming up, Curtis will head out on the road to square off against Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Scholars Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grand Street Campus at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.33 runs per game on average), something Scholars Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
