Basketball Recap: North White Takes a Loss

North White was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 57-16 loss at the hands of the Northfield Norsemen. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-9.

North White lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Fernando Gomez, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Northfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Rodgers, who went 5-for-7 en route to 12 points in addition to six boards and four steals. What's more, Rodgers also posted a 71% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2024. Tyson Baer was another key player, going 6-for-15 to rack up 15 points.

North White's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Northfield, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

North White didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-34 loss against Winamac on the 18th. As for Northfield, they have also already played their next game, a 61-54 defeat against Maconaquah on the 18th.
