The Westfield Shamrocks will challenge the Harrison Raiders on Saturday. Westfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Westfield is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Fishers 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Shamrocks.

James Kovacs looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Westfield's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ian Wilson, who went 3-for-4 with one double. That's the most hits Wilson has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Harrison came tearing into Monday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Mavericks.

Chase Gothrup tossed a big game, tossing 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kendrick Pena, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Jack Gonzalez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Harrison's win bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Westfield, their victory bumped their record up to 21-9.

Westfield came up short against Harrison in their previous meeting last Tuesday, falling 8-4. Can the Shamrocks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
