Softball Recap: St. Cloud Takes a Loss

St. Cloud lost to Sebastian River back in May of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Sharks by a score of 3-2.

Madelis Reyes was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Grace Comiskey, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI.

St. Cloud's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Sebastian River, they pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Cloud will take on Melbourne at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Sebastian River, they will face off against Legacy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Sharks 3.2, the Lions 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
