Basketball Recap: Luke Brown's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lemon Bay over Venice

Lemon Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 61-46 fall against the Venice Indians. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Manta Rays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-64 back in December of 2024.

Lemon Bay's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Brown, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 16 points. Blake Coleman was another key player, putting up ten points.

Lemon Bay's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Venice, they moved to 11-13 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Lemon Bay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-48 victory against Ida Baker on the 29th. As for Venice, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-51 defeat against Braden River on the 31st.
