Volleyball Recap: Sandhills Valley Comes Up Short

Sandhills Valley had lost 13 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 5-17 to make it 14. They lost 3-0 to the Maxwell Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

As for Maxwell, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-10. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0).

Madelynn Nelson had an outrageously good game as she had ten digs and nine aces. Those nine aces gave her a new career-high. Rochelle Bradley also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Sandhills Valley has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Brady on the 16th. As for Maxwell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Wauneta-Palisade on the 16th.
