Soccer Game Preview: Fordson vs. Roosevelt

The Fordson Tractors will take on the Roosevelt Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fordson has given up an average of 3.2 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fordson is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Glenn just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Rockets, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Fordson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Glenn are ranked 108th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roosevelt). They never let Taylor get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for Roosevelt in their matchups with Taylor: they've now won five in a row.

Roosevelt's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four games. As for Fordson, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
