Softball Recap: Brook Hill Victorious

While Brook Hill's win against Winnsboro wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Guard skirted past the Raiders 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Guard.

Player #16 was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Player #16 was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Player #14 was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Brook Hill's victory bumped their record up to 4-2-1. As for Winnsboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2-2.

Brook Hill wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-3 win against Overton on the 21st. As for Winnsboro, they will take on Como-Pickton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Raiders 3.9, the Eagles 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
