Carson hasn't had much luck against Robinson recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Carson Cougars will square off against the Robinson Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Carson took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against East Rowan as Carson made off with an 8-2 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Their offense was hitting East Rowan from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal.
Anthony Medina-Beckham led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.
Meanwhile, Robinson entered their tilt with West Rowan on Monday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the Falcons a 1-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the better team in the second half.
Carson's record is now 2-5-2. As for Robinson, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
