Preview: Boron Bobcats vs. Rosamond Roadrunners

Boron is 1-9 against the Roadrunners since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Boron Bobcats will look to defend their home court against the Rosamond Roadrunners at 7:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Boron has struggled recently with eight defeats in a row, while the Roadrunners will arrive with eight straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Boron suffered a tough 65-39 loss at the hands of the Huskies. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Boron in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Rosamond was able to grind out a solid victory over the Broncos on Tuesday, taking the game 57-48.

Rosamond's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Fabian Robles, who scored 21 points, and Andrew Arredondo, who scored 22 points. Arredondo has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played.

Boron's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Rosamond, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Boron was dealt a bruising 85-28 defeat at the hands of the Roadrunners in their previous meeting back in January. Will Boron have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
