Football Recap: Rodriguez Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Rodriguez and Christian Brothers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Rodriguez had to settle for second. They took a 51-32 bruising from the Falcons. The Mustangs gained 185 more yards on the day, but it was the Falcons that made the best use of them.

When it comes to explaining why Rodriguez lost, don't look at Darian Charles. Despite the final result, he rushed for 166 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.

Jay Cummings continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Christian Brothers, rushing for 148 yards and four TDs while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also picking up 58 receiving yards. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Cummings a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gunnar Marsh, who picked up 223 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Rodriguez is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.7 points over those games. As for Christian Brothers, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-9.

As of now, neither Rodriguez nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
