La Habra had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Yorba Linda Mustangs a 5-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 on Tuesday.

The result came thanks to Isaac Aguirre's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bobby Brooks, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Gandara, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

La Habra's record is now 15-8. As for Yorba Linda, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

La Habra will have a chance to go back-to-back against Yorba Linda: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
