Volleyball Game Preview: Maconaquah Braves vs. Western Panthers

The Maconaquah Braves will challenge the Western Panthers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Maconaquah is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

Maconaquah is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Northwestern 3-0. The Braves not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23rd (when they won 3-0).

Maconaquah can attribute much of their success to Aubrey Kaiser, who had 13 digs and one assist, and Averie Maiben, who had four digs and four aces. Kaiser has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Maconaquah was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Western was able to grind out a solid victory over Twin Lakes on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

Maconaquah's win bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Western, their victory bumped their record up to 18-14.
