Football Recap: Pahrump Valley Trojans vs. Cheyenne Desert Shields
Pahrump Valley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 29-8 margin over the Cheyenne Desert Shields. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 36-16 defeat the last time these two teams met.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Pahrump Valley's defense and their four sacks. Randal Murray was especially locked on to Cheyenne's QB and sacked him twice.
Pahrump Valley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Somerset Academy Losee at 6:30 p.m. on September 6th. As for Cheyenne, they will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
