Football Game Preview: Knox Redskins vs. Angola Hornets

The Knox Redskins will square off against the Angola Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Knox is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Knox is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 48-18 win over Mishawaka Marian. The result was nothing new for the Redskins, who have now won nine contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Myles McLaughlin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 383 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 25th straight game with at least 121 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Knox didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: McLaughlin and Izak Singleton, who each picked up one interception apiece.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Angola sidestepped Garrett for a 30-28 victory.

Angola had a senior duo take command as Hawk Hasselman gained 185 total yards and two touchdowns and Brady Ravis threw for 249 yards and three TDs. Hasselman didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble, made seven total tackles, and defended one pass.

Knox's record now sits at 12-0. As for Angola, their record is now 7-5.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Knox has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 428.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Angola struggles in that department as they've been averaging 161.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
