Soccer Recap: Newaygo Comes Up Short

Newaygo lost against Reed City back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions fell just short of the Coyotes by a score of 4-3. Newaygo have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newaygo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Reed City, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-3 record this season.

Newaygo will head out to face off against Grant at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Newaygo will be up against Grant's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.44 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Reed City, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Clare at 6:00 p.m.
