Basketball Recap: West Field Takes a Loss

West Field fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Clearfield on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Clearfield Falcons by a score of 56-54.

Despite the loss, West Field saw an underclassman step up: freshman Drew Faddis went 5 for 8 on his way to 10 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Faddis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Harrison, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 13 points and three steals.

West Field's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Clearfield, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

West Field will welcome Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clearfield, they will square off against Highland at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Highland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Clearfield likes a good challenge.
