Basketball Recap: NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks vs. Lee Park Prep Knights
NorthPoint Christian Academy had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 1-4 to make it six. They had to suffer through a 91-61 loss at the hands of the Lee Park Prep Knights. If the NightHawks were looking for revenge after losing 65-40 to the Knights when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Despite the defeat, NorthPoint Christian Academy had strong showings from Gabe Spann, who went 10-for-19 to rack up 25 points, and Kamon Toney, who shot 44% from the field on his way to 17 points and five boards. Crosby Holst also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.
As for Lee Park Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.
