Basketball Recap: Braydon Schwartzkopf's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Calvary Baptist Academy over Hemlock

Calvary Baptist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Hemlock Huskies at home by a 55-39 margin.

Several Kings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braydon Schwartzkopf, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. That's the most boards Schwartzkopf has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie VanBeek, who posted four points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Calvary Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hemlock, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Valley Lutheran the next time they take the court. Hemlock will head out to face Valley Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Calvary Baptist Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
