Volleyball Recap: Comfort Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Comfort, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the Young Women's Leadership Academy Cardinals by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bobcats/Deer as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

While Comfort won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20.

Tindall Ahrens paced Comfort's offense, picking up nine kills. Ahrens got some help from Corrine Brown and her 18 assists. Ahrens was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Comfort's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Young Women's Leadership Academy, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Coincidentally, Comfort and Young Women's Leadership Academy will both be playing Bandera the next time they take the court. The Cardinals will head out to face the BULLDOGS at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, while the Bobcats/Deer will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
