Basketball Game Preview: Oneida Nation Thunderhawks vs. Niagara Badgers

The Oneida Nation Thunderhawks will head out to take on the Niagara Badgers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Monday, Oneida Nation had to suffer through a 66-33 loss at the hands of Saint Thomas Aquinas. The Thunderhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Niagara came tearing into Monday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 58-53 W over the Wolverines.

Niagara pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Oneida Nation, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Oneida Nation couldn't quite finish off Niagara in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 68-66. Can Oneida Nation avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
