Basketball Game Preview: Manatee Hurricanes vs. Gateway Eagles

The Manatee Hurricanes will face off against the Gateway Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Manatee will bounce into Monday's game after beating Bradenton Christian, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Manatee blew past Bradenton Christian 61-38 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Hurricanes have posted since December 17, 2024.

Meanwhile, Gateway entered their tilt with North Fort Myers on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Red Knights by a score of 38-25.

Gateway's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points per game. As for Manatee, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.
