Softball Recap: Estill County Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Estill County's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Owsley County Owls / Lady Owls get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering the Engineers have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Estill County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Owsley County, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Looking ahead, Estill County is taking a road trip to square off against Western Hills at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Engineers are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Owsley County, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Buckhorn at 6:00 p.m. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.24 runs per game on average), something the Owls / Lady Owls will no doubt try to take advantage of.
