Volleyball Recap: Lubbock-Cooper Comes Up Short

After flying high against Monterey on Saturday, Lubbock-Cooper came back down to earth. The Pirates lost 3-0 to the Amarillo Sandies on Tuesday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Sandies recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lubbock-Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Amarillo, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-8.

Coincidentally, Lubbock-Cooper and Amarillo will both be playing Palo Duro the next time they take the court. The Sandies will head out to face the Dons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Pirates will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
