Escondido Charter extended their winning streak  to five  on Tuesday, bumping them up to 12-2. They never let the Santa Fe Christian Eagles get on the board and left with  a   7-0  victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Eagles are ranked 247th).
 Escondido Charter didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Addyson Campbell and  Teagen Hustead.
As for Santa Fe Christian,  with the  defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2. The shutout was out of character for they seeing as the last time the team failed to score was  back in August.
 Despite the  loss, Santa Fe Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Taylor Novak rushed for 92 yards on only ten carries.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Escondido Charter is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Tri-City Christian  at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Santa Fe Christian will  square off against  rival Pacific Ridge  at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
