Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Flyers vs. Deshler Dragons

Franklin hasn't had much luck against Deshler recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Franklin Flyers will get right back to it and host the Deshler Dragons at 7:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Franklin lost to Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] on the road by a 36-21 margin.

Meanwhile, Deshler hadn't done well against Heartland recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Deshler snuck past Heartland with a 50-45 victory.

Deshler's win came from a few key players Franklin will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Easton Nash, who went 10 for 18 on his way to 26 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Sieber, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Deshler, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
