Recap: Saint Andrew's Scots vs. NSU University Sharks
The Saint Andrew's Scots entered their tilt with the NSU University Sharks with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Saint Andrew's managed a 49-43 win over NSU University on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Saint Andrew's also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Leading Saint Andrew's to victory were Emma Smith and Delaney Beighley. Smith scored 14 points along with 4 steals, while Beighley scored 20 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ainsley Ramsburg, who scored 0 points along with 14 rebounds and 3 steals.
NSU University's loss came despite strong showings from Kimora Exum and Tatum Billie. Exum scored 28 points along with 7 steals, while Billie scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds. Exum scored a full 65.1% of NSU University's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Saint Andrew's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for NSU University, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Saint Andrew's will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against St. John Paul II Academy at 6:00 p.m. As for NSU University, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Brendan at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
