Football Game Preview: Hilliard Davidson Wildcats vs. Olentangy Orange Pioneers

Hilliard Davidson is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will look to defend their home field against the Olentangy Orange Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Hilliard Davidson sitting on three straight wins and Olentangy Orange on five.

Last Friday, Hilliard Davidson didn't have too much trouble with Marysville as they won 22-7.

Meanwhile, Olentangy Orange got the win against Olentangy Berlin on Friday by a conclusive 31-7. The 31-point effort marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Olentangy Orange's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Hilliard Davidson, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Hilliard Davidson came up short against Olentangy Orange in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, falling 21-14. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Pioneers' Levi Davis, who rushed for 95 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also threw for 172 yards and one touchdown.
