Baseball Game Preview: Fenton Bison vs. Ridgewood Rebels

Fenton hasn't had much luck against Ridgewood recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bison will look to defend their home field against the Rebels at 4:30 p.m. Fenton will be strutting in after a victory while Ridgewood will be coming in after a loss.

Fenton took a 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Elgin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bison had just enough and edged out the Maroons 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bison.

West Aurora hit Ridgewood with a six-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rebels took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blackhawks. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ridgewood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Szewczyk, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Ridgewood's loss dropped their record down to 12-11-1. As for Fenton, their win bumped their record up to 5-21.
